3D OCT screening at Infocus Opticians picks up potentially serious problems that can affect your eyesight and your overall health.
WHAT IS AN OCT SCAN?
OCT – Optical Coherence Tomography – is our new, completely non-invasive and highly advanced screening that checks your eyes for serious conditions, including glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, vitreous detachments and more.
WHY SHOULD I GET ONE?
At Infocus Opticians, using our state-of-the-art OCT, your Optometrist will take both a wide-angle digital photograph and a 3D cross-sectional scan across different parts of the back of your eye. This allows us to check the top surface of your retina, as well as to look through the deeper layers, to instantly rule out a number of common conditions. These conditions, although often treatable, often go unnoticed in their early stages. Using the OCT, our Optometrists are able to detect even the most subtle changes and will create an invaluable record of your eye health through each eye test you come in for.
WHO IS AN OCT FOR?
OCT is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages. The health of your eyes is important to you and at Infocus Opticians it is important to us too, which is why we would recommend OCT to all our patients. OCT screening allows us to get a full picture of your eye health so you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your eyes are safe and in great condition.
